Whitecross School

Whitecross School have named their four houses, or academies, after cider apples - Bromley, Styre (from Eggleton Styre), Moyle (from Gennet Moyle) and Hagloe (from Hagloe Crab). These varieties are all illustrated in The Herefordshire Pomona. On 12 January, 2007, MAN chairman Peter Austerfield (centre), seen here with Deputy Headmaster Timothy Knapp, handed over pictures of these apples to representatives from the houses. Whitecross School have planted specimens of these trees but are still looking for Bromley (as are MAN). Can you help?
