Added details of cider making Courses. Updated information about Books available from Bulmers and included early details about cider Events in 2004.

Merry Christmas Added a Christmas card to the Home Page. Added another event - the December 2002 Pruning Course - to the new Photograph Gallery (and corrected an attribution for the 2003 AGM). Another small change to Links. Added a Privacy Policy which will eventually be referenced off all pages. All new pages are included in the Site Map and the HTML Validation page. The webmaster has also updated details of the Technology used to maintain this website.

Added details of Pruning Courses arranged by WOW. Started on the new Photograph Gallerywith two events shown. Maybe more to come in the future. Updated the Events diary and a small change to Links. The Books order form now includes the 2003 Newsletter - issue 9.

Phew! That was a busy (and successful) Autumn. Removed past Events from the diary. 2003 is now empty but 2004 has already started to fill up. Revised Links, the most popular page in October, with new pressing details and the BBC Radio 4 Food Programme on the Big Apple. Minor change to Nurseries, another popular page.

Removed past Events from the diary. Revised Links, mainly because of link rot after Bulmers take over by Scottish and Newcastle and also Gloucestershire County Council's website revamp. Also changes for Gloucestershire Council under Grants and Courses.

Removed past Events from the diary. Added more Links and updated details for Herefordshire Council under Grants and Courses.

Changes are coming thick and fast as the autumn harvest season is upon us. Updated the Events diary with more events and additional details. Added more orchards to Orchards to visit. Additions to Books and Library for the long cold winter evenings. Add Glasu to Grants.

Added a new nursery and updated the Herefordshire Fruit Tree Kits destails under Nurseries. Added new events to the Events diary. Added another orchard to Orchards to visit.

Removed old events and courses from the Events diary and the Courses list. Updated details of where to obtain Books and added two more books.

Removed old events from the Events diary. Added Links from the latest Herefordshire Cider Route, Minchews Cider, DEFRA (for food names), the Taynton Squash perry pear and more on the Gloucestershire Orchard Group. Updated details of where to obtain some Books and added The Bulmers Pomona. Added an "Any Browser (and Minchews)" logo to the Technology page.

Removed old events from the Events diary and added details of the June Cider and Perry Festival. Added Links of interest to "producers" - Customs and Excise and the Food Standards Agency. Courses has details added for MAN's Summer Pruning course and old course details removed. Several Books added (mainly related to the technicalities of cider making) as well as half a source for "Perry Pears". Added Kemerton Conservation Trust to Orchards to visit (thanks to John Clarke for the details).

Several small changes. Minor changes to the Events diary. Added Hartpury perry pears to Links as well as Worcestershire biodiversity details. Books has another book, by Scottish member John Butterworth, added.

Several small changes throughout the website. Minor wording change to the Home page. Added details of cider courses at Pershore to the Courses page. Removed old events from the Events diary, updated cider museum events and added the Royal Bath and West Show. Minor change to text under Links and a new cidermat site added. Two more Books added. Added the Vale of Evesham Blossom Trail to Orchards to visit. Added Gloucestershire County Fruit Trees to Nurseries. Added Gloucestershire details of Grants.

6 Feb 2003

Added a few more links and updated the Events diary with many more events for 2003 (and 2004). Updated the Home page with the charitable status, a link to this page and acknowledgements to Herefordshire Council for their varied assistance. Changed the heading on all pages so that MAN and the Welsh equivalent are both shown and also added more spaces between the navigational links. Corrected a few spelling mistakes.

Updated the whole site for 2003 copyright and to improve accessibility. The site should now reach a Bobby one star rating with minor shortfalls from two and three stars. You can check this as part of HTML Validation. A number of page titles have been shortened. Added more orchards (specialising in pears) to visit to the Orchards list. Removed old events from the Events diary. Removed "Merry Christmas" from the Home page (it can easily be restored for next December). Updated the details of Grants. And the webmaster has, at last, upgraded his Operating System - see Technology.

Updated the Books list with links to abebooks.co.uk for second hand copies. Added another orchard to visit to the Orchards list. Updated the Events diary with wassailing dates. Added "Merry Christmas" to the Home page.

27 Nov 2002

The whole site successfully validates - OK, one page does not - at the W3C validator. A new page - HTML Validation - has been added to simplify checking the validation when the site gets updated in future.

The changes started on 6 November have now been implemented across the whole site.

A "late breaking" correction to the dates of the MAN organised Courses has been made. The Books list has been updated and buying links to amazon.co.uk added.

20 Nov 2002

Details of the Courses being arranged by MAN during 2002/ 2003 have been added. The Links and Nurseries pages have also been updated.

6 Nov 2002

Various changes have been made "under the bonnet" so that technically this is a better site. In particular a more recent version of Weave is now used and Weave functions have been changed so that "better" HTML is now created. As pages are updated they should now validate using the W3C validator at validate.w3c.org.

Events before November 2002 have been removed from the diary at Events.

This page describing the site history has been added.
